The Opportunity

Oplu is leading the search for a Senior Private Personal Assistant to join a single family office in Singapore, supporting one of its Principals. This is the anchor appointment in a private office the family intend to build out over time, and it carries real reach.

The Principal’s interests run across six international jurisdictions. The successful candidate will travel with the Principal, and often ahead of them to prepare, holding the diary across those time zones, running projects in their name, and acting as their eyes, ears and gatekeeper. There is defined secondary support to additional family members on diary, travel and related projects.

This is not a corporate EA role and it will not suit someone who wants one. The family are explicit that they are not looking for a person who works through a task list. They are looking for someone who notices what needs doing, takes ownership of it, and quietly makes it happen.

Who This Role Suits

This role is best suited to a senior private-support professional ready to step into a first-hire, foundation-laying appointment for a growing single family office in Asia.

Candidates likely to fit:

  • Substantial experience as a Private PA, Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or Lifestyle Manager.

  • A track record with a private individual, UHNW Principal, entrepreneur or family office.

  • Strong and proven experience of complex international travel and itinerary management.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and technological confidence.

  • Composure under pressure and ease with last-minute change.

  • Judgement, discretion and absolute trustworthiness.

  • Comfort with senior executives, VIPs and high-end service providers.

  • Genuine willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diary and calendar management across multiple time zones.

  • Complex international travel, planned and then managed on the ground while accompanying the Principal.

  • Discrete projects run end to end, including property and interior design work, from brief through to completion.

  • Coordination with the corporate side of the family office in Singapore and Hong Kong.

  • Support to the family’s foundation, including scheduling, correspondence and the coordination of events.

  • Correspondence and communications handled on the Principal’s behalf.

  • Research and briefing material.

  • Coordination of household staff, property managers and contractors, including at properties in Japan and Australia.

  • Relationships with hotels, restaurants, clubs, agents and service providers.

  • Organising private dinners and engagements.

  • Oversight of everything in motion, personal and professional, so that nothing is missed.

  • Personal administration and lifestyle support, handled with the same rigour as the professional side.

Practical Information

Compensation, in addition to the S$150,000 to S$180,000 gross base:

  • Thirteenth-month payment at Chinese New Year, in line with Singapore market practice.

  • Discretionary annual bonus.

  • Employment Pass sponsored.

  • Relocation support and housing support provided.

Hours flex around the Principal’s diary and travel. This is not a nine-to-five role.

The family are looking for a long-term relationship rather than a short-term appointment.
